Architectural technologists manage all stages of the technical design and planning process of building projects.
You'll usually need 1 or 2 A-Levels, or equivalent, for a foundation degree or higher national diploma. You'll need 2 to 3 A-Levels, or equivalent, for a degree.

Once you have at least 2 years' work experience, you can work towards Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. With experience you could move into management, work as a consultant or set up your own practice. You could also work in universities or research.
Structural engineers help to design and build large structures and buildings, like hospitals, sports stadiums and bridges.
Painters and decorators apply paint, wallpaper and other finishes to the inside and outside of buildings.
Leather technologists prepare, treat and finish leather to make it ready for manufacturing.
Cavity insulation installers fit insulation, soundproofing materials and cladding in buildings.
Crane drivers operate lifting machinery on construction, quarrying and mining sites, at ports and in warehouses.
Video editors bring together images and sound for use in film, TV and online productions.
