Editorial assistants provide support at all stages of the publication process for books, journals, magazines and online content.
You'll usually need a degree in English, journalism or media studies. If you want to specialise in a particular field of publishing, you may need a degree that's closely related to it, for example physics or maths for a scientific journal.
You'll usually need 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and 2 to 3 A-Levels, or equivalent, for a degree.

Media buyers book advertising space in newspapers and magazines, and on TV, radio and the internet.
Musical instrument makers and repairers create new musical instruments or repair ones that have been damaged.
Furniture makers make and restore items like chairs, tables, beds and display cabinets.
Jewellery designers plan and create jewellery, silverware and other decorative products.
Costume designers are responsible for the overall look of the clothes and costumes in theatre, film or television productions.
Production managers take care of the business, financial and recruitment side of film and television productions.

Candidates will undertake four-weeks of employability workshops with Catch22, learning about the tech industry and employability skills, whilst networking and engaging in projects with other participants. During the workshops, participants attend a session run by Microsoft employees, where they will have the opportunity to ask them questions and hear about their careers so far.Following the four-week workshops, candidates will work with a tech-industry-specialist Career Coach to tailor their CVs, cover letters and interview skills, finding and applying for jobsapprenticeships within tech. Once participants are in employment, we offer in-work support for 6-months.ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: -Not in work or education-Between 18-30-Interested in techcomputer literate-Access to a computer or laptop to join the sessions
