Space Youth Services
Description
You will join our marketing team, where our
Marketing & Communications Manager will mentor
the start of your marketing career, alongside a
programme of study with Exeter College. You will
become an essential part of our community,
building professional relationships across Devon
with other team members, supporting a wide
variety of marketing activities, and running your
own campaigns.
At the start of your role you will learn all about
Space Youth Services and begin to build the digital
marketing skills to make Instagram posts, web
pages, social media advertising, and write
impactful copy. As you progress, you will take on
more responsibility looking after the day to day
marketing for our Youth Centres and Services, and
build your graphic design, videography, analytical
and strategic marketing skills. Our goal is to help
you reach the stage where you can design and run
your own marketing campaigns to support a variety
of organisational needs, and contribute to strategic
marketing planning.
Being comfortable with new social media trends
and learning creative technologies are a must, as
you will be working with all the major social
platforms as well as the Adobe creative suite, SEO
software, social media scheduling software, web
analytics and more.
Flexibility to work from home is offered, including
some time in the office.
You will be joining a Devon-wide charity that has 8
youth centres, an alternative provision school, and
several mobile services. Currently working with
around 4,000 young people (aged 11-19), we help
unlock potential in young people and their
communities by providing a range of professional
1:1, group, and community support and activities.
Our youth centres are a space for young people to
hang out with mates, talk about things they can’t
ask their parents, gain confidence and try new
things. We also provide Education Support
Services in schools, Street Youth Work in
communities, Special Educational Needs and
Disabilities groups, and loads more.
Space is an inclusive and learning organisation: all
employees must be committed to conducting all
interactions with respect and being proactively
anti-oppressive.
The wage is age based. In your first year you
can expect (per week):
16 - 18 £240
