Wardrobe assistants help to make, find and look after clothes and costumes used in theatre, film and TV productions.
You can take a higher national diploma, degree or postgraduate qualification in costume design, fashion or textiles. This could give you an advantage later if you want to become a costume designer. You'll usually need between 1 and 3 A-Levels, or equivalent.
You could start by doing a college course to get some of the skills needed for this job, for example:
You may need 2 or more GCSEs at grades 9 to 3 (A* to D), or equivalent, for a Level 2 course. You'll need 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, for a Level 3 course.

You’ll specialise in either theatre work, film or TV, but you could cross over between areas once established. With experience, you could become a wardrobe manager or move into set design, production design or stage management.
Textile designers create fabric designs and patterns for woven, knitted and printed materials for clothes and interior furnishings.
Art gallery curators manage collections of paintings and objects.
Market research interviewers find out what people think about products, services or issues.
Editorial assistants provide support at all stages of the publication process for books, journals, magazines and online content.
Choreographers design sequences of steps and movements, usually accompanied by music, for dancers and other artists to perform.
Music teachers give music lessons to people of all ages and abilities.

Candidates will undertake four-weeks of employability workshops with Catch22, learning about the tech industry and employability skills, whilst networking and engaging in projects with other participants. During the workshops, participants attend a session run by Microsoft employees, where they will have the opportunity to ask them questions and hear about their careers so far.Following the four-week workshops, candidates will work with a tech-industry-specialist Career Coach to tailor their CVs, cover letters and interview skills, finding and applying for jobsapprenticeships within tech. Once participants are in employment, we offer in-work support for 6-months.ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: -Not in work or education-Between 18-30-Interested in techcomputer literate-Access to a computer or laptop to join the sessions
