Introduction Into Buzzacott

At Buzzacott, nearly 500 people work together under one roof in St Paul's, London, making it the largest single office accountancy firm in the UK. Buzzacott are also part of PrimeGlobal, an award-winning association of independent accounting firms.

Trust underpins the culture of Buzzacott, together with specialist expertise, approachability and exceptional client service. Trust is more than providing the best expertise. It’s about character and integrity. The people you trust have values that match your own. Because of this, cultural fit is an important consideration when choosing people to join the team.

In 2019, Buzzacott celebrated 100 years of business – although a modern firm, they are proud of their rich history and the success achieved over the past 100 years. Buzzacott has developed expertise and transitioned from being accountants to advisers to now acting as a strategic partner to clients, whether they are individuals, businesses or not for profits.

"Not coming from a financial background, I was concerned about being a fish out of water, but at Buzzacott I’ve felt part of a community of trainees who are all in the same boat. There's a great atmosphere with lots of social events to get involved with" - Alec, Audit Associate

100 years of expertise

If the apprenticeship path appeals to you, we offer a range of opportunities across our various teams.

On each team, you’ll have a Manager as your mentor, plus access to Buzzacott Partners and other senior staff for extra guidance whenever you need it.

Our Accountancy training contracts offer comprehensive, supervised training towards professional qualifications. Apprentices typically start by studying the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) over a period of 30 months.

After that, you can choose to take your learning further by following either the ACA or ACCA qualification to become a chartered or certified accountant. Or the ATT-CTA qualification to become a chartered tax advisor.

The training programme is structured and monitored by a top firm of external tutors. Here’s what’s involved:

  • Courses at tutors’ offices
  • Regular assessments
  • On-the-job training
  • Fully paid tuition and study leave at top firm of professional tutors
  • Talent coach
  • Firm mentor

"One thing I really like about Buzzacott is that each of our personal goals are heard. For instance a member of the audit team completed a secondment to our team after expressing an interest. Different people have different career progression goals and this is reflected in how we operate" - Megan, Tax Consultant
